Play on Productions created a bespoke series of shadow puppet films to be screened as part of a special performance of Born By the River at Lock & Quay Pirate Festival, Bootle on Saturday 24th May 2025. Born by the River is an original musical created by Brian and Jane Elizabeth Dawe.
The ‘Libertalia’ project opened up a new paradigm of artistic working by bringing international artists, people & place into contact with combined arts co-creation. Between November 2020 and July 2024 European artists took part in 6 labs in Gothenburg, online, and then in Bootle, UK to co-create the ‘Libertalia’ outdoor arts performance for the people of Liverpool to enjoy.
